Summary: "I'm sorry, McKay—did you just criticize my people skills?"

"Wow, that was really kind of—rude, wasn't it?"

"I'm sorry, McKay—did you just criticize my people skills?"

"Very funny, Major. Just because I avoid wasting time with some of the more pointless social conventions doesn't mean I don't recognize them. And you are usually way more concerned about playing nice with the natives."

"I've been 'playing nice' for the better part of an hour. They seemed to be willing to talk for as long as it takes Teyla and Ford to get back from the village where her friends live."

"Still, you don't generally leave your fan clubs in the lurch like that."

"'Fan club'?"

"Mmm. The one in the red was just about ready to have your name tattoed on any one of several parts of her anatomy, from the looks of things."

"*cough* Yeah, she was making me a little nervous."

"So, what, you expect me to protect you?"

"Doing pretty well so far. None of them are coming near us."

"That's because I have the common sense to ward off any misguided attempts at small talk right away. You'd be amazed how it cuts down on interruptions. And it seems to be counteracting the effects of your… natural charm."

"You're saying that you're obnoxious as a preemptive strike."

"I would have said 'standoffish', but close enough."

"Thank you for letting me share your little circle of quiet, anyway."

"Honestly, I don't see how I could have stopped you."

"What do you do when your antisocial act doesn't work?"

"It's hardly an act, Major. As you just implied, I'm not a very nice person. And fortunately, it doesn't fail all that often."

"I'm talking to you."

"Yes, you do that a lot. It seems to be a bad habit."

"So—how are you planning to get rid of me?"

"Oh, I've long since given up trying. You're regrettably tenacious."

"Yes, I am."

"I decided to just accept you as background noise."

"That so?"

"And yet, you haven't touched your scanner in five minutes."

"I was taking a break. All work and no play, you know."

"I think you like talking to me."

"I think you've been standing in the sun too long."

"I like talking to you, too, Rodney."

"Lucky me."

"I'm thinking of getting your name tattooed on my ass."

"Oh, my—you're insane, you know that?"

"Could be. Keep me company until Ford and Teyla get back, and I'll let you pick the color."
